The DeployHub news is that we had a busy August with DevOps World and Open Source Summit. I had the honor of presenting at DevOps World with around 200 people attending. Next month the recording should be available. Look for the story in the October Newsletter. But in the mean time, check out the Tuesday Keynote. Kohsuke Kawaguchi provided a history of Jenkins over the last 15 years and a great introduction to the CD.Foundation was done by Tracy Miranda, CloudBees Open Source Community Director (and power house).

Migrating to microservices using DeployHub and Domains
Presented by Steve Taylor, CTO DeployHub, Inc.
Microservices may seem to be super complex. But that is only because it can be hard to manage them. Steve covers how DeployHub helps you migrate to microservices, and gets you started now by using your monolithic applications as an entry point.
Migrating to Microservices – Step 1: Define Your Domains
by Steve Taylor, CTO DeployHub, Inc.
Migrating to microservices does not need to be hard. You can start by using your existing monolithic application and learn how to perform deployments that are incremental, just like microservices. The trick is in organization of the components prior to deployment. This blog introduces how to define Domains starting with your monolithic application that will set you up for microservice success.
Did you know we offer a free SaaS version of DeployHub? You can sign-up and start designing your component and microservice domains, sharing your services, configuring your various applications and running continuous deployments. Unlimited.
We love our dogs. We support various dog rescues, who help adopt, foster and educate. We’d like to share photos of your pups, an ever rotating selection of portraits. So send them in and we’ll add them to the Dog Team on social media.
And on a very sad note, we say goodbye to one of our favorite DevOps Dogs – Rosie. We loved you and will miss you deeply.

DeployHub is built on top of the Ortelius open source project. Abraham Ortelius was the first person to create a world atlas. A fitting description of what we do with microservices and components. He would be proud.
